Gaytopia
My recent fascination with True Crime has inspired me to pursue a career in Investigative Journalism, revealing the significant impact of media on our perception of neighbors.
Coming out at the tender age of 18, I was fortunate to be embraced by a group of older gay men who introduced me to a world beyond my imagination. Growing up in a predominantly white suburb of Boston, MA, I faced bullying, homophobia, and violence from those who were taught to despise difference.
My experiences, however, pale in comparison to the hardships endured by the previous generation across this nation. They faced everything from murder to discrimination, with society sparing no effort to oppress, deny, and degrade a culture that sought nothing more than to live freely. Their battles are ours today, and through this website, I aim to foster a shift in media perspective towards communities, one free of prejudice and hatred.
