Tragically, Michael O’Fallon was one of the victims of California serial murderer, Randy Kraft who was convicted of murdering 16 men and boys between 1972 and 1983 and is on death row for his crimes. He was known as the “Scorecard Killer.” He was known to have killed at least another 51 young men and boys and is the most prolific serial murderer in California history.
O’Fallon’s body was discovered roadside near Interstate 5 in Salem, Oregon. O’Fallon had alcohol and diazepam in his stream. O’Fallon’s wrists and ankles were tied. He had been strangled and sodomized. O’Fallon was riding with a friend named Steve from Fort Collins. He was attending Denver Community College in Colorado. O’Fallon’s last postcard home was postmarked in early July of 1980. O’Fallon was hitchhiking in “PORTLAND” from “DENVER”. Prosecutors believe the coded word “PORTLAND DENVER” is represented on Kraft’s Scorecard found in his trunk the night of his arrest.
