Identity
A man found dead last week beside a road four miles northeast of Aurora, victim of an apparent homicide, has been identified as Brian Harold Witcher, 26, of Portland, Clackamas County sheriff’s deputies said. Identification was made by fingerprint comparison by the state medical examiner, deputies said. Cause of death has not been determined and the state medical examiner is conducting further tests, deputies said. No street address was available for Witcher, deputies said. Witcher was found by a passerby about 2:30 a.m.
Nov. 24 beside the Canby-Hubbard Road near the Aurora Airport, deputies said. A witness, who asked not to be identified, said Witcher sustained a wound to the head, possibly from a bullet, and that the body bore several scrapes. The body was not concealed, the witness said.
