Thomas Paxton Lee (25)

Born
Long Beach, Los Angeles County, California
Death
3 Aug 1974, Long Beach, Los Angeles County, California, USA
Tragically, Thomas Lee was one of the victims of California serial murderer, Randy Kraft who was convicted of murdering 16 men and boys between 1972 and 1983 and is on death row for his crimes. He was known as the “Scorecard Killer.” He was known to have killed at least another 51 young men and boys and is the most prolific serial murderer in California history.
Lee’s body was discovered nude at the intersection of Windham Avenue and Van Camp Road in Long Beach. Lee had been shoved or thrown from a moving vehicle. He was strangled and mutilated and left in an oil field. Lee’s travels before his death were traced through several Long Beach gay bars which he had frequented throughout Long Beach and the San Pedro area. Lee often cruised Granada Beach and Belmont Shores Bluff, which was the same cruising area where Kraft would go looking for one-night stands. Lee’s location when he was found was on a “PIER”. Prosecutors believe Lee is linked to the coded word “PIER 2” represented on Kraft’s Scorecard found in his trunk the night of his arrest.
