Two More Houston Mass Murder Boys Identified

Pathologists have identified two more victims of Houston’s mass murder case, leaving unidentified only seven of the 27 bodies recovered last August. Two brothers, missing from their home in the Houston Heights area since late 1972, were identified Tuesday. They were Michael Anthony Baulch, 15, and Billy Gene Baulch Jr., 17, sons of Mr. and Mrs. Billy Baulch. Dr. Joseph A. Jachimczyk, Harris County medical examiner, said the body of Billy was found in a grave near High Island in Chambers County. He had been strangled. Jachimczyk said the body of Michael was uncovered in a Houston boat shed. He had been shot twice in the head. The multiple slayings came to light August 8 when Elmer Wayne Henley telephoned police he had shot to death Dean Arnold Corll, 33, in self-defense during a sex and paint-sniffing party at Corll’s home in suburban Pasadena. Henley named Corll as the leader in a homosexual murder ring.

Henley and David Owen Brooks, 18, led authorities to a Houston boat shed and at locations near High Island and near Sam Rayburn Reservoir in San Augustine County where the bodies of all teen-age boys and youths were recovered. Both Brooks and Henley told police they procured young boys for Corll who raped, tortured and killed them. Henley has been charged with murder in six indictments returned by a Harris County grand jury and Brooks has been charged in four.
