Sam Stapleton Rites Are Set

Services for Sam Stapleton, the latest victim to be linked to multiple John Wayne Gacy Jr., will be held 11 a.m. Saturday in the chapel at 2708 N. Western Av. He was a 14 when he disappeared on May 13, 1976. His body, identified Wednesday by the Cook County medical examiner, was among 29 found in December on Gacy’s property in Norwood Park Township. Gacy, 37, has been indicted for murder and is scheduled to face trial in January. Stapleton is survived by his father, Albert, mother, Bessie, two brothers and a sister.
